Catalogue distribution for rights holders

Your catalogue.
Into the AI ecosystem.

Distribute your catalogue to the AI ecosystem and connect with music licensing opportunities. We help prepare your repertoire, define permissions and deliver to AI partners — while you retain ownership and control.

Working across music, rights and research

Rights, handled with experience

Opportunity, on your terms.

We come from music rights, distribution and royalty operations. We help you make informed decisions and turn them into workable agreements.

01

Keep control.

Choose the repertoire, permitted uses and commercial partners. Permissions are documented per work and use, with withdrawal terms agreed in advance.

02

Create new income.

Annual licensing fees and monthly revenue participation, structured around your agreement. Ownership remains with you.

03

See the contribution.

Creative Weight Attribution connects musical contribution with revenue allocation, across recording and publishing rights.

Built around your role

Your mandate.
Our music AI expertise.

CMOs / PROs / Neighbouring rights societies

A practical path
from attribution to distribution.

Extend your rights management expertise into generative AI. We support repertoire licensing, consent, attribution and reporting in a form that can connect with your existing distribution processes.

Your member relationships and mandates remain central. Our team works with you on rights coverage, data requirements and the route from measured contribution to allocation.

Discuss your society’s requirements

Labels & publishers

Bring recording and composition rights into AI agreements with clear scope, documented permissions and reporting for your roster.

Artist management

Assess opportunities for your artists, retain approval over specific uses and negotiate name, voice and likeness permissions separately.

Artists & songwriters

Decide how your work participates. Understand what is licensed, how its contribution is recognised and how revenue is allocated.

Distributors & catalogues

Connect consent and new AI income to the repertoire, metadata and royalty workflows you already manage.

Selected repertoire

Music with people behind it.

Artists already on board, with distinctive repertoires and original creative voices. Here is a small selection.

Selected releases, shown with their original artwork. Available rights and permitted uses are confirmed for each agreement. Inclusion does not imply a grant of voice or likeness rights.

The commercial model

A licence fee.
A continuing share.

Two complementary sources of income, with terms that reflect your rights and the agreed use.

01 / Annual licensing

Value at the start.
And at renewal.

A recurring licence fee for the rights and repertoire made available under the agreement.

02 / Monthly participation

A share in the value
your music creates.

Revenue participation supported by attribution and reporting, with recording and publishing interests accounted for.

Fees, revenue shares, payment schedules and renewal conditions are specified in each agreement.

Guided by the AFEM AI Principles

Your consent.
Your credit. Your remuneration.

The AFEM AI Principles provide a framework for protecting creators in generative AI. Our cooperation with AFEM builds on that framework — connecting explicit consent with licensing, attribution and fair remuneration.

Explicit permission
AFEM calls for AI training to be licensed with express authorisation from the relevant rights holders.
No assumed AI rights
Under the Principles, earlier agreements should not be treated as automatic permission for AI training.
A continuing say for creators
AFEM emphasises creators’ moral rights, including where commercial rights have been transferred.
Recognition and fair payment
The Principles call for transparent attribution and remuneration across training and generated outputs.

We help translate these principles into defined permissions, licensing terms and attribution workflows. CWA can also support attribution and verification for agreements you negotiate yourself.

In cooperation with AFEM

AIxchange is an AFEM member and non-exclusive affiliate cooperation partner. Participation is voluntary; licensing agreements are made directly with AIxchange. AFEM acts as an introducer, not a licensor or certifier.

How we start

First, a conversation.

  1. Understand your repertoire

Your rights, your mandate and what you want to achieve in the AI market.

  2. Explore the options

Review the opportunities, relevant permissions and commercial structure together.

  3. Agree your terms

Choose the works, uses and partners before licensing and reporting begin.

Useful to know

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Do we transfer ownership?

No. You license specified uses of your repertoire. Copyright ownership stays with the rights holder.

Can we change our permissions?

Permissions can be updated or withdrawn under the agreed terms. Those terms also define the effect on existing licences and models already trained.

What if we only need attribution?

We can discuss CWA independently, including for licences you negotiate directly. Start with the rights and reporting questions you need to answer.

What can our catalogue earn?

That depends on the repertoire, rights, licensed uses and commercial demand. We review those factors with you before discussing specific terms.
